The timber production was started in 1871 by Fehr and Wolf. After the war, Zadrev, the East Bohemian timber factories Lira, Dřevotex operated here. In the spring of 1973 a fire broke out, after which the plant recovered after a few days. Privatization in 1990 was liquidating for the factory. The 22,400 m2 brownfield is now empty. The municipality of Lichkov is planning to revitalise the former factory site while preserving the existing factory chimney with its stork's nest. Reconstruction is planned in future years.
