The chateau in Moravská Třebová is one of the most important Renaissance monuments in Central Europe. The chateau was built on the site of the original castle founded in the 13th century. At the end of the 15th century, modern Renaissance elements appeared in the Czech lands for the first time, and at the beginning of the 17th century three Mannerist wings were created according to the plans of the Italian builder. In addition to traditional exhibitions in Moravská Třebová you can see a medieval torture chamber or alchemical laboratory.
